Goodbyes don’t have to be sweet sorrow

Empty hands to receive

Empty hands to receive

We have disposed of the majority of our worldly possession keeping only what fits in the travel trailer and very few file sized boxes. I am elated to be so mobile. Saying goodbye to stuff is liberating to friends it could be sorrowful but instead of seeing this as a parting (which could be sweet sorrow) it is a joyful awareness of how many connections we have made with likeminded spirits, spirits which are eternal so we know we will not be parted forever.

Abba in His grace allowed time to be spent with so many before leaving the West Texas area. We fellowshipped and broke bread together. These wonderful people have supported our vision and have bought into our vision. We were delighted to spend ‘hugs time’ with Dalton and Gatlin (two young ones) We prayed together and Gatlin shared a vision he’d had about us going to California before he knew that we were indeed headed there. I ask Dalton what he wanted for us to accomplish on our mission and he said, ‘become famous’. This may sound like a young child fantasy but I understood he wanted us to be known, to do the work so that Abba’s glory would be noised abroad. Josiah our Schwan’s man came by for hugs and share his excitement for us and our journey.

To quote Macrina, ‘God has room to work with emptiness that is owned’. We own empty hands, hands ready to receive, hands ready to be extended to a lost and dying world, hands to heal and hands that are truly ready for Him to work.
